The Sign of the Four

In a state of restless idleness, Sherlock Holmes is visited by a certain Mary Morstan, who asks him to find her father, missing for many years, and to solve the mystery of the pearls sent to her every year on the same day. As always, Holmes brilliantly unravels this enigmatic case, though he irretrievably loses the immense treasures of Agra. Watson finds his love, while Holmes once again sinks into boredom. We present to readers the complete unadapted text of the novel, accompanied by commentary and a glossary.
