Wuthering Heights

Years ago, feeling sorry for a nameless orphan, the master of Wuthering Heights decided to take the boy into his home and raise him alongside his own children. The foster child grew into a proud and cruel young man, passionately in love with the master’s daughter. Their mutual feelings promised happiness. So why now, years later, does the wind knock on the windows of her childhood room at night, pleading in a woman’s voice to be let in? Wuthering Heightsby Emily Brontë is a classic of Gothic literature. It is a sophisticated exploration of love and villainy, a novel about ferocious passion that borders on cruelty, and how the sins of parents echo in the lives of their descendants.
